We want you to get the best out of your C&W candle so have added a few handy tips for you to follow .
On first burn ensure your candle burns all the way out to the edges of the jar to create a full wax melt pool. This will ensure your candle avoids tunneling which will occur if flame is extingushed too early. Tunneling means your candle will only burn straight down the middle of the wax.
Avoid burning your candle for longer than 3 hours. This may cause wick to tilt in melted wax, also may heat the jar to a point where it is too hot and may crack and break.
Always trim your wicks down. With our wooden wicks, once these are cool to touch you can just break blackened ends off and dispose in the bin. For our cotton wicks trim these to 5mm.
Few more tips:
Once your candle has burnt down to 1cm from the bottom, if your candle burns after this you may run the risk of the jar overheating and damaging surface underneath it or even breakages and cracks.
Never leave your candle unattended and in reach of pets and children.
Always put your candle out if you are going out or leaving your home or the room it is burning for a long period of time.
Place candle on flat heat resistant surface away from flammable objects
